Eric Wurzelbacher Quartet

Eric is a Cincinnati based saxophonist who has degrees in both music and Spanish from the University of Cincinnati. His passion for music began at a very young age by regularly being a part of many music festivals, including the Newport Jazz Festival, through a family business. During his time in college, he received awards such as the CCM Honors Scholarship and becoming one of 11 finalists in the U.S. Army’s National Collegiate Solo Competition. After graduating in May of 2015, he won a woodwind position with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and toured Europe for a number of months. Eric currently plays with a number of different groups in Cincinnati and has shared the stage with a number of artists such as Fareed Haque of Garaj Majal, Marc Wilson, and John Labarbera. His is currently focused on producing and performing his own original music.
